Veenation: life

I'm very lucky to be surrounded by the best people in Marburg. I'm friends with Lily and Lukas from Lily and Lukas Photography and they kindly offered to do a collaboration. It all started with an instagram story where i reacted how pretty the scene is where they are.

This is my take of festival fashion, the kind of outfit i would want to wear to Coachella. It's comfortable yet really stands out in the crowd. The red outfit compliments the poppy flowers on the field also really well.

I don't know if somebody is still following this blog after 7 months of absence. Oh well.

So hello to the ones who is still reading this blog! What's up what's good? I've been too busy with uni and my own daily life and couldn't find time to really take photos and write something in this blog. I'm more active on my instagram (@veenation). But i just had my last exam on Wednesday and finally have time to sit down and actually write something. So enjoy!

Now to tell you the real story. I think i need to preach about how to love oneself. I've experienced really a lot of insecurities since living here. Sometimes i'm afraid to dress up because i literally live in Marburg, where no one even dresses up, unless it's for a special themed party or graduation. I literally get a lot of stares, and when i say a lot, it's A LOT. I took this set of photos (special thank you to Hushik) in Uni Bibliothek / Uni Library because i have to study for the exams and oh boy, it's real. But i realize that if you always try to make other people happy, you won't be happy yourself.

So you do you, do what you want to do, be who you want to be, and live your life to the fullest you beautiful people. And see you in Jakarta! I'll be back soon!

People all around me are now mostly in a relationship, and what i mean mostly is like literally EVERYONE is in it. As a high school student, walking through corridors seeing couples everyone is a usual sight. Same things happen in shopping malls and other public places. But, the problem is when they usually bug the single people with the question "When are you going to have a boyfriend or girlfriend?" , "Why aren't you in a relationship? You're not ugly right?" . And of course the singles will think about it all along. But let's peek into the relationship world, is it really worth debating? Is in a relationship really is better?

It's funny to know how three different strangers can meet and be great friends in just one day. I experienced this a few weeks ago in Jakarta Fashion Week 2013. Me and several fabulous bloggers are members of Jakarta Blogger, a new blogger community based in Jakarta. Two of them are Fahmy Haryandi and Lucca Yoga . I finally met these two lads and watched a fashion show together! Actually, the main plan is just to have a short lunch before Fahmy and Luke watch a fashion show. But we all end up watching Paula Meliana for Eva Bun.

Finally! Paris outfit post is here at last.. It was really really hot outside Eiffel and squeezed in some time to take my outfit pictures. The location is right in front of Seine river and super near to the Eiffel tower. When i first saw that tower, it was just WOW. The Eiffel that we usually see in pictures is super duper awesome in real life. It's big and just beyond my expectation :D

School is just freaking me out these days and a one day holiday yesterday felt like an oasis. But sadly, I've been sick and needed some warm clothing to go out. This jumper is just right for the event and was a super bargain!

First of all, thank you so much for all your support! I really can't believe that i now have 100+ followers, all i want to do is hug each one of you and give you all free puddings. It's been almost 2 months and the journey has been superbly magical. Even like a rawrious amount of thank you can't explain how grateful i feel :')

I did an interview with Ario Achda today and it was wonderful, make sure you stay tune to catch the interview here. One inspiring thing has stuck in my mind after the interview which is Ario's genuineness about blogging. It's like expressing yourself in one blog and if anyone's impressed , that's a huge bonus. I think his statement is really true and super inspiring.

The truth about my blogging is to express myself in one thing and do something that i love. As the title says, dress to express, not to impress. I find some people blog because they want to be really famous and such but no, that's not the essence of it. Blogging is best when you do it with your heart and when you really really love what you do. Love what is true and the world look up to you.

What could be better than spending a day with your girl-friends? A lot of talking,walking, and doing fun crazy stuff. Since my bestie,Tasha, is currently in Jakarta me and Lidia spent the day walking around Senayan City and Plaza Senayan. It was purely great fun with a lot of talking and babbling. We also did some window shopping on most of the stores there. I even found a pair of Topshop boots that screams "buy mee!" but i didn't buy it this time. But it was superbly gorgeous!

One of the things i love about this holiday season is when the malls are decorated with christmasy things. Like the huge christmas tree and the cute snow decors. It's sad that we don't have winter in Indonesia but the fake snow keeps me happy most of the time.

My aunt and mom asked me if i would join their sushi trip to sushi ya and of course i said yes! I always love sushi and ocha so there's nothing to lose. My sister and cousin also tag along as they wiped out most of the sushis. The Sumo Maki there is just heavenly awesome! Try one if you're there :)

The day was pretty dull as i spent the morning at school and received my report. My report was great and i still can't decide if i want the science or social class to take in the next grade. Just wish me luck there.. Another thing that's interesting was JKT48's first live performance! They were so damn cute with the pink uniform and their dance. I bet they can beat all the girl bands :D Btw, how's your holiday goin?

Last week was the last kurs in 4A12-6A class and it was really really sad cause some of us didn't make it to the next level. I passed with second rank and it was quite nice.We ended up taking photos all over the kurs time and had fun. Next week will be the Goethe Party and i'll hopefully attend it with my fellow classmates :)

I feel superbly guilty by not posting something here since UAS has begun. UAS is like a final test with two ridiculous tests a day and it's driving me crazy. But in the morning i gather round with my friends and joke about things that's so irrelevant to the UAS. But i don't mind anyway! As long as i get good grades and be happy, there's nothing to worry about right? :)

Today hasn't been a really good day because of some problems in my house but i did learn something from it. But oh well, that's life right? it has ups and downs and so much things between. And my school held somekind of Teacher's Day event and a praying for the final exam! Wish me luck for it and hopefully tomorrow i'm gonna go to GI and shop! wiii~ new stuffs! Btw, i'm going to Bazaar 29 Alley too :P

Finally! My very first ever ever posted daily outfit post! YEAY! It's kinda a fast decision since this morning i have to be the service's MC with Michella. It was great actually with Casey's whole heartedly sung Hatiku Percaya :) After that we had the really ridiculously fun "meeting" with Narwastu but i think 70% of the meeting point is girl talk but whatevs! we're having fun!

After the meeting i went to Gandaria City because dad wants to fill up his nemo flying fish with more helium. We're only like 1 or 2 hours there but it's quite good for refreshing before the home concert Pak Yos gathered for this week. It's really really really quiet there as in only Bimo, me and Icha. I played this classical song called Allegretto and Barry Likumahuwa Project's Saat Kau Milikku. That wasn't really memorable but talking with Bimo until laughing my ass off is a really cool way to spend like 30 minutes of your life. I extremely blame Raissa for not coming and feed my passion of gossiping through the concert. At the end, it's quite a nice day with a little whip cream on top.
