London Fashion Week : Day 1 Favorites
Sorry for the long hiatus everybody, I've been so so busy with school stuffs as our once a year big event FORTELATIONS 2013 is coming up on October! So so excited for the event. Meanwhile, another big event is happening in London. Yes people, it's London Fashion Week for Spring-Summer 2014. I'll let you sneak peek on my top 3 favorites from LFW day 1 ;)
BORA AKSU SS14
Bora Aksu sure emphasized his signature "romantic with a darker twist" style with this SS 14 collection. Aksu's inspiration for the collection came from the beauty that comes from a fresh summer’s morning; that clear blue sky, whispering clouds, clear still waters and refreshing scents. I just love how he showed neutral color pieces and shocking ones as well. It's a romantic collection that still has a boyish side. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars - love it!
Timeless British pieces with pale and neutral colors are the main points of the collection. The pattern mixing is genius, it's not contrast but harmonizing sweetly. It's classy, elegant, yet still girly in in its own way. I have to say that i want to steal the first dress, the details are amazing. It's not revealing but still really flirty and cool, such a show stealer! Another 4 out of 5 stars for this collection!
Jean-Pierre Braganza SS 2014
The construction of the pieces is what definitely caught my eye. It's fitted perfectly with clever unique cuts, so edgy. The collection is perfect for strong confident women as it is very bold. The use of dark themed patterns dominate most of the collection, providing the show stealer aspect of these pieces. My favorite piece of the collection is the dusty pink matching top and bottom on the very left. It's intriguing how dusty pink can look so strong and edgy! Giving this collection 4.5 out of 5 stars!That's my view on LFW's day one, can't wait for more insights and collections! How about you? Which ones are your favorite? :D Have a great weekend everyone!
